About the Event
Throughout history, some of the most vibrant cultural movements have emerged not from formal institutions, but from informal, shared spaces: Parisian cafés that incubated modernism, Black-owned clubs and community halls that sustained the Harlem Renaissance, artist-run lofts in 1970s New York, squats and social centers across Europe, and storefront studios that doubled as classrooms, meeting places, and performance venues.
